ROBLOX – Who is your child talking to?

It has been brought to the schools attention that there maybe a number of pupils who currently are using Roblox.

Roblox is a massively multiplayer online game creation platform that allows users to design their own games and play a wide variety of different types of games created by the developer or other users. Sometimes compared to Minecraft, Roblox is a website and app that hosts social network virtual world games constructed of Lego-like virtual blocks.

However just because it is a game this doesn’t mean parents should let their children play unsupervised.

Players can communicate with each other and it has been reported that many younger players have ‘friends’ their parents don’t know about. There have been other reports about threatening messages as well as inappropriate character behaviour.
