BALFOUR JUNIOR ACADEMY
(Part of the Fort Pitt Thomas Aveling Academies)
Farewell Year 6 and Good luck!
We have not been able to say goodbye to our wonderful Year 6 pupils in the way we normally would and it is sad that they will be leaving without the whole school here to wave them off on their new adventures at secondary school. We are so proud of them all and wish them all the best for the future, where we know they will make continue to make us proud .
Below are some goodbye videos from your Year 6 Teachers, as well as some photos and memories. Enjoy and feel free to share with other pupils and parents.
Wednesday 22nd July is the last day of term – we hope you all have a lovely summer break and look forward to seeing you on Thursday 3rd September.
For more details of the arrangements that will be in place in the autumn term please read our letter to parents and carers, which can be found here: Letter to parents re full reopening September 2020
Welcome to Balfour Junior Academy!
As Headteacher here at Balfour Junior Academy, I would like to extend to you the warmest of welcomes. Balfour Juniors is a large, vibrant, and friendly Junior school where our core beliefs centre around instilling a love of and a passion for learning.
Achieve Your Dreams
We will build a community within Medway where children are more than just educated and where all feel safe and supported. They will be empowered to change their own lives and the lives of those around them. They will be able to stand up and become pillars of the community making a positive difference.
We will be good role models, who inspire everyone to be motivated to make a positive impact on each other’s lives. Together we will continually strive to remove the barriers to success and fear of failure.
We will provide a culture of mutual respect and acceptance with children moving onto their next venture with the skills and values to set them on the path to achieve their dreams. Our school will take pride in leading the children in Medway on their journey – both educationally and for life: enabling them to drive their own futures to greater success and shape our diverse community for the better.
A Balfour Teacher is respectful, consistent and an inspirational role model. They deliver exciting, vibrant and well-pitched lessons in an optimistic and humorous style. They are honest and able to deliver the hard messages whilst still using praise and positive affirmation wisely to encourage and enthuse.
A Balfour Pupil, on leaving us at the end of year 6 is a confident, self -motivated and kind individual who is enthusiastic and eager to develop their full potential in both curricula and social areas of their lives. They are a credit to both their families and to their Junior School.
We hope that this website will give you as much information as possible about our school, the staff and the many activities that our children enjoy through our curriculum. To find out more about our wonderful school, please do not hesitate to contact us.
