We have been working on creating work for your children to be doing at home while we are closed. This is a very difficult task as we want to get the right balance for everyone and consider everyone’s situation. The best way we can get work to everyone is online, especially with the unpredictable closure, so instructions are at the bottom of the document for the children on how to access this and each day will have clear guidance on what can be completed.
Arguing with your children to do work is not what anyone needs right so don’t forget to cuddle up together and read, read, read. Take turns reading. Read them your favourite novel. Do a puzzle together. Build a fort. Bake a cake. Watch a documentary. Paint. Get the Lego out. Set up a tent and camp out in your living room. Look at photos of when you were a child. Basically, don’t stress about them doing their work. Just spend time together as they won’t learn if they’re feeling stressed. Though this is a worrying time, it could well be a time they remember as the best time in their life!
Teaching staff will be looking after their own children or even volunteering to look after the Key worker and vulnerable children over the coming weeks, but we will all be online to offer support if you need it.
These are all trying times for everyone, so please be patient and we will offer as much information on the website as we can.
